69 Year Old Hit by Fed Ex Driver

In San Diego, it is reported that a 69 year old man was hit by a Fed Ex delivery truck.  Now, the man is in the hospital and receiving treatment for broken rips as well as a collapsed lung.  Police say that the truck accident occurred yesterday at 9:35 AM.

While the man was walking across Federal Boulevard to 50^th Street, he was struck by the driver of a Fed Ex vehicle.  The driver had just exited the parking lot of a strip mall and failed to see the man, who had just entered the crosswalk.  Despite his painful injuries, the man is expected to recover.

At this time, police are investigating the incident to see if criminal charges should be filed.
