3 Year Old Injured during Boat Accident on Mission Bay
In Mission Bay, local news sources have reported that a child who is approximately 3 years of age had to be rushed to a hospital in critical condition. On Saturday night, the child was with his father in a canoe in Mission Bay when the canoe capsized.
At 7:09 PM, San Diego lifeguards were told about the boating accident and CPR was in progress on the three-year-old boy at South Shores boat launch ramp, near Sea World, said a San Diego Lifeguard Service dispatcher.
The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department paramedics, police and lifeguards are responded to the emergency as soon as possible. Law enforcement say the boy and his father were in a canoe that capsized in the child was taken to UCSD Medical Center for treatment. At this time, no word on his physical condition is available.
