Asbestos Lawsuits Filed Against Texaco and Chevron USA
It has been reported that Texaco BP and Chevron USA are currently facing asbestos claims from employees and family members who believe they suffered asbestos-related injuries.
One lawsuit has been filed by a widow and her children. The widow's husband worked for Texaco and she believes that he died after developing asbestosis. According to Southeast Texas Records, Charles Arceneaux was employed by Texaco in the refinery at Port Arthur. He died on August 8, 2009 after developing asbestosis. In the claim, it is alleged that Texaco and Chevron USA were aware that their employees were being exposed to asbestos and did nothing to stop the exposure.
It is a known fact that exposure to asbestos can result in mesothelioma, lung cancer and other life-threatening medical conditions.
