Pedestrian Accident Injures Two Women
Two women were sent to the hospital with broken legs and head injuries after crossing against the red light in Imperial Beach last Saturday. San Diego police officer David Stafford said that the women were struck right before midnight at 16th Street and Palm Avenue when a 24 year old woman went with the green light in her Infiniti.
Both women are in their twenties, who remain nameless, were taken to a trauma center in serious condition. The driver, who had not been drinking at the time, was uninjured. Officers with the traffic division are taking care of this investigation until further notice.
