Police Officer Involved in Motorcycle Accident on Way to Work
A police officer became injured in a motorcycle accident on his way to work last week in San Diego.
According to police reports Officer Bryce Byrd was riding his police motorcycle when he was struck by a vehicle near San Marcos. While he was rushed to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, the driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene to answer questions about the accident.
Although specific details are not yet known, it is believed that Officer Byrd suffered a dislocated hip, a hand injury and a leg fracture below the knee. The accident is still under investigation by the San Diego County Sheriff's Department which is responsible for patrolling San Marcos.
