Police Respond to Fatal Motorcycle Accident
San Diego police responded to a fatal motorcycle accident this week that took the life of a 22-year-old active member of the military.
Although the victim's identity has not been released to the public, the details of the accident are slowly leaking out. The young man was going north on Rosecrans when he attempted to swerve around two motorists attempting to turn on Canon Street.
According to witness testimony, the motorcyclist sped up to go through the yellow light. It was then that he collided with a four-door Cadillac going southbound. The motorcyclist was thrown off his bicycle and went head-first into the Cadillac's passenger window. His body was then thrown into the traffic lanes.
Although several people attempted to give him CPR, he was pronounced dead on the scene.
