Construction Worker Injured On Job Site
Work with heavy machinery? You need to take care or you could wind up deceased like a man in San Diego, California did last week. According to the police report, the 58-year-old man was working on a construction site when the workplace accident happened.
Reports indicate that he was trying to unload a cherry picker from a flatbed truck when it fell over. The man was in the basket atop the truck and suffered massive internal injuries. He was declared dead on the scene. At this time, his identity is being withheld from public records. It is known that he was just days away from turning 59 years old.
As with any workplace accident, a representative from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration was sent to investigate the scene of the accident. An investigation by OSHA will determine whether the man was completely at fault for the accident or whether the employer bears any blame.
