Drunk Driver Takes Two Lives
A family is mourning the loss of a grandmother and her grandson after a drunk driver took their lives last week in California. According to the police report, the 73-year-old grandmother and her 39-year-old grandson were trapped in their burning vehicle after being rear-ended by a SUV.
When officers arrived on the scene of the drunken driving accident, there was little they could do for the two victims. A quick analysis of the scene led officers to determine that their vehicle was struck from behind by another car with such impact as to cause it to burst into flames. The suspect was arrested and charged with vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence. He is being held on $500,000 bond.
