Two Women Killed during Car Accident
Two women lost their lives last week in a car accident involving a Nevada Department of Transportation truck.
Police reports show that the two victims - Ester Garza, a recently-retired coach, and Renee Upchurch, a coach and teacher - were sitting in their car when it was struck by a NDOT truck. The truck was going at such a speed as to split the Ford Explorer in half from the impact. Although investigators aren't sure why the two women had pulled over, they believe the women were looking at a map.
While Upchurch was killed instantly in the wreck, Garza died later on in the hospital.
