Father and His Girlfriend Facing Wrongful Death Lawsuit

Paramedics were called to assist an 18-month-old child in March who seemed to be suffering from seizures; one week later the little girl was dead.

Now her father and his girlfriend are being slapped with a wrongful death suit in the case of little Kamryn Schlitter. Police determined that when Schlitter was last in the custody of her father, Zyriah Schlitter, and his friend Amy Parmer, she suffered from infant abuse. The coroner ruled her death as being the result of severe brain injuries.

Now her mother, Nicole King, wants to make sure that Zyriah doesn't get away with his heinous actions.

At this time the Linn County Attorney, Jerry Vander Sander, has declined to comment about the ongoing investigation. Nor has the attorney for Schlitter and Parmer returned any phone calls from the Associated Press.
