Transportation Accident Stirs Community
A serious transportation accident in Deer Canyon caused quite a stir in the community last week.
According to police reports, a man driving a school bus near Deer Canyon Elementary School accidentally drove the bus over an embankment, hit a tree, smashed into two more vehicles before crashing into a garage. The bus was attempting to enter the school parking lot when it hit a parked vehicle on the street.
Luckily there were no students on the bus at the time of the accident; neither was anyone present at the house where the bus crashed into the garage. Both the bus driver and a woman from another vehicle complained of pain, and were transported to area hospitals. However, reports from the California Highway Patrol show that three people were injured in the bus accident.
