Four Car Accident Leads to Death
A four car accident resulted in the death of a 27-year-old man who was an active member of the military. The accident happened on an interstate highway at 6:30 in the morning. The 27-year-old man was driving a vehicle down the highway when he approached a line of stopped cars. In his attempt to stop the car, the man evidently lost control of his car and hit three separate cars before flipping and landing on top of another vehicle.
Emergency workers responded to the four car pileup and had to bring in a heavy rescue team to pry the vehicle off of the car. The 27-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver of the other car was taken to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries. One other driver involved in the accident also sustained minor injuries while the final driver was uninjured. Every person involved in the accident was male and three of the men were members of the US military.
The section of the highway where the accident occurred was shut down for over an hour and a half while emergency responders worked to clear the scene.
