Rain Storm Causes Multiple Accidents in San Diego
A rain storm caused multiple car accidents in San Diego County last Sunday.
In total, officers with the California Highway Patrol responded to eight car accidents on just two busy state routes. The rain was so severe from the period from just before 3 PM to 3:30 PM that drivers lost visibility and thus control of their vehicles. All eight accidents happened within that time period on both the eastbound and northbound lanes of those roadways.
While no motorists lost their lives, several were left seriously injured. One man was going in excess of 80 mph when the storm hit. He is reported to be in serious condition. Across the county, there were 300 accidents attributed to the rain storm.
