Two Drivers in Accident Were DUI
Usually a drunk driving accident involves just one driver that is intoxicated. In San Diego, California last week, police were treated to an accident where two drunk drivers ran into each other.
According to the police report, a 30-year-old male ran a red light at a busy intersection. In the process, he struck a pickup truck driven by a 30-year-old woman driving east. While the woman was lucky to escape unscathed, the other driver fractured his pelvis and sustained several internal injuries.
Despite not causing the accident, the female driver will be charged with driving under the influence, as will the male driver. He is likely to face additional charges as well once the investigation has been completed.
