Biker Slams into Car Door and Suffers Head Injuries
When you are parked in a bike-friendly area, you should be cautious of not only driving, but of opening your car doors as well.
A 25-year-old man is now in the hospital with serious head injuries after a 35-year-old driver did not take caution while opening his car door. He opened it at just the moment that the bicyclist was riding by, striking him and forcing him off the bicycle. As a result, the young man sustained serious injuries that are likely to keep him hospitalized for days, if not weeks. Police have not commented as to whether the rider was wearing a helmet at the time.
However, they are certain that alcohol was not to blame for the accident.
