Pedestrian Accident Reported in San Diego
A local road was shut down on a Monday morning after a woman and her child were struck by a car on the street. The woman was walking with her eight-year-old when they were struck by a gray vehicle that was heading east down the road. The female driver of the vehicle stopped her car after the collision. Police report that the extent of the woman and her child's injuries was not immediately known.
Officials kept the road closed for several hours while the woman and child were transported to a local hospital to assess their injuries. The street remained closed so that police could investigate the nature of the crash. It's currently unclear whether negligence, intoxication, or reckless driving played a part in the accident.
