Boat Capsizes during Race
A man participating in a San Diego water race was not just disqualified, but injured after his boat capsized.
The victim was taking part in a qualifying heat drag race in Mission Bay last Sunday when he lost control of his boat. The incident, referred to as a "blow over," caused serious injuries including a minor concussion. After a brief diagnosis, the man was then taken to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
Oddly, just a few hours later, an airplane crashed but did not cause serious injuries to the pilot or those watching the show.
