Speeding Motorcycle Rider Hurt during Collision
In Mission Hills, California, a motorcyclist was seen driving at speeds up to 100 MPH while traveling on a local freeway. At some point, the motorcyclist lost control and crashed into the car pool lane. When officers arrived on the scene, the biker was still conscious but seriously injured, requiring immediate treatment by police and rescue crews.
As a result of the motorcycle accident, the highway was shut down for several hours. A SigAlert was declared for one of the lanes, while another was shut down for just a few minutes.
According to officers, detectives are still investigating the motorcycle accident and have yet to charge the driver. However, they say that there is a possibility that the driver will face charges in the future as several people saw him operating at excessive speeds prior to the crash.
